Nutritious Stir-Fried Dried Radish Greens
Inspired by the comforting home-cooked meals my mother used to make, I’ve recreated this beloved dish. This delicious stir-fried dried radish greens recipe is a true rice thief, perfect for reigniting your appetite!
Main Ingredients- 200g dried radish greens (thawed)
- 1 Korean green chili pepper (seeds removed and finely minced)
Seasonings & Others- 0.5 Tbsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1 Tbsp tuna extract (or soy sauce)
- 1 Tbsp sand lance extract (or soy sauce)
- 5 Tbsp canola oil (or cooking oil)
- 0.5 Tbsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1 Tbsp tuna extract (or soy sauce)
- 1 Tbsp sand lance extract (or soy sauce)
- 5 Tbsp canola oil (or cooking oil)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Thaw the frozen dried radish greens in cold water. Once thawed, rinse them thoroughly under running water and squeeze out as much moisture as possible. This helps reduce any raw flavor and allows the greens to absorb seasonings better.
Step 2
Heat 5 tablespoons of canola oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté slowly until fragrant. Sautéing garlic first deepens the flavor and adds richness to the dish.
Step 3
Finely mince the Korean green chili pepper after removing the stem and seeds. If you prefer more spice, leave the seeds in. For a milder heat, you can substitute with a red chili pepper.
Step 4
Add the prepared dried radish greens to the pan with the fragrant garlic oil. Stir-fry over medium heat for about 3-5 minutes, allowing the greens to soak up the oil and garlic aroma. They will soften as they cook.
Step 5
Once the radish greens have softened, add the minced green chili pepper and stir-fry for another minute. Then, add 0.5 tablespoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of tuna extract, and 1 tablespoon of sand lance extract. Toss everything together to coat the greens evenly.
Step 6
Continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until all ingredients and seasonings are well combined. This completes your delicious stir-fried dried radish greens! Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame seeds for extra nuttiness. This dish is incredibly tasty served over warm rice!
