- 2 slices Butter (approx. 30g)

- Pinch of Black Pepper
- 0.5 Tbsp Red Pepper Flakes or Gochugaru (adjust to spice preference)
- 0.5 Tbsp Canola Oil or Vegetable Oil
- 0.5 tsp Dried Parsley Flakes
- 0.5 tsp Salt
- 0.5 tsp Sugar
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Thaw the frozen shrimp by soaking them in cold water for about 10 minutes before cooking. After thawing, thoroughly pat them dry with paper towels. This prevents splattering oil and ensures a delicious result when stir-frying.
Step 2
Heat a pan over medium-low heat, add the 2 slices of butter and 1 Tbsp of minced garlic. Gently sauté until the butter melts and the garlic becomes fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic; the key is to infuse the butter with the aromatic flavors.
Step 3
Once the garlic and butter are nicely sautéed, add 0.5 Tbsp of red pepper flakes (or gochugaru), a pinch of black pepper, and 0.5 Tbsp of canola oil. Stir-fry briefly to release their aromas. Keep the heat on medium and stir quickly to prevent the chili flakes from burning.
Step 4
Now, add the dried shrimp to the pan and stir-fry quickly over high heat. Shrimp cook fast, so avoid overcooking to keep them tender. Cook until they turn pink and opaque. While stir-frying, add 1 Tbsp of mirin, 0.5 tsp of salt, and 0.5 tsp of sugar, tossing well to coat the shrimp evenly.
Step 5
When the shrimp are fully cooked and coated in the glossy sauce, sprinkle 0.5 tsp of dried parsley flakes on top. The parsley adds a final touch of freshness and visual appeal, making your Butter Garlic Shrimp look and taste fantastic! Serve hot with rice or enjoy with bread.
