Ingredients- 3-4 slices of fresh lemon
- 2 Tbsp homemade lemon syrup
- Ice, as needed
- 1 part Vodka (adjust to taste)
- 4 parts Tonic Water (adjust to taste)
- A few sprigs of fresh mint
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Take a nice glass. Add 3-4 lemon slices to the bottom and gently press them with a muddler or spoon to release their juice. This will infuse the drink with a bright, citrusy flavor. Fill the glass generously with ice.
Step 2
Lightly muddle a few fresh mint leaves and add them to the glass. The mint will add a wonderful aromatic freshness. Now, add 2-3 tablespoons of your homemade lemon syrup. This will provide sweetness and a deeper lemon flavor.
Step 3
Pour in your vodka. (I used Absolut Vodka.) Adjust the amount according to your preference for alcohol strength. Then, top it off with tonic water for a refreshing fizz. The ratio of vodka to tonic water can be adjusted to your liking. I found a 1:4 ratio (vodka to tonic water) to be perfectly balanced – not too strong, delightfully sweet, and easy to sip.
Step 4
For the finishing touch, garnish your mojito. Add a few more mint sprigs and a lemon slice to the rim or inside the glass. Behold, your homemade Lemon Mojito is ready! Enjoy a delightful cocktail that rivals any bar’s offering.
