Ingredients
  • 200g thick Greek yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/3 banana
  • 3-4 frozen strawberries
  • 1 handful frozen blueberries
  • 1 handful cashews

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, place 200g of thick Greek yogurt into a bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of maple syrup to sweeten it and mix well until smooth and combined. This step balances the tanginess of the yogurt with a pleasant sweetness.

Step 2

Peel and thinly slice 1/3 of a banana. Slicing them thinly (about 0.5 cm thick) ensures they don’t become too hard when frozen.

Step 3

If your frozen strawberries are very hard, let them thaw slightly. Then, slice them thinly (about 0.5 cm thick). Aim for visually appealing slices.

Step 4

Line a baking sheet or a large plate with parchment paper. Carefully pour the Greek yogurt mixture onto the parchment paper. Use a spatula or spoon to spread the yogurt as evenly and flatly as possible. This is crucial for easy breaking or cutting later.

Step 5

Arrange the thinly sliced banana, sliced strawberries, a handful of frozen blueberries, and a handful of cashews decoratively over the flattened yogurt. Feel free to add or substitute your favorite fruits and nuts!

Step 6

Gently press down on the toppings with your fingers or a small spatula. This helps the fruits and nuts adhere to the yogurt and ensures the bark holds together well once frozen.

Step 7

Place the baking sheet in the freezer and let it freeze for at least 3 hours, or until completely solid. For a firmer texture, freezing for 4-5 hours is recommended.

Step 8

Once frozen solid, remove the Greek yogurt bark from the freezer and peel off the parchment paper. Break or cut it into bite-sized pieces using your hands or a knife. You should hear a satisfying crisp snap.

Step 9

Your refreshing Greek yogurt bark is ready! Enjoy it immediately for the best cool and crisp texture. It’s a perfect healthy snack or a delightful dessert.
