Main Ingredients- 1 serving of barley rice
- 1 pack of natto (with included sauce)
- 1 can of tuna, drained
- 1/2 cucumber
- A small handful of young sprouts
- 2 cherry tomatoes
Seasoning Sauce- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp perilla oil
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp perilla oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
I made this a while ago, but looking at it now, I realize this combination is quite good. I should prepare the ingredients and make this for dinner more often. It’s a good way to feel lighter and replenish nutrients, perfect for a bit of dieting.
Step 2
Drain the tuna thoroughly to remove excess oil. Soak the young sprouts in water with a little vinegar for about 5 minutes, then rinse and drain. This helps to keep them fresh and crisp.
Step 3
Rub the cucumber with coarse sea salt to clean it thoroughly. Cut it in half lengthwise, scoop out the seeds with a spoon, and then dice it into bite-sized cubes. Removing the seeds prevents the bibimbap from becoming too watery.
Step 4
In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce and perilla oil. Whisk them together well to create the dressing. The nutty aroma of perilla oil adds a wonderful depth to the dish.
Step 5
Now, let’s prepare the delicious seasoning for our bibimbap! This is the sauce we’ll be using.
Step 6
Place the barley rice in a bowl. Arrange all the prepared ingredients on top of the rice: the drained tuna, diced cucumber, fresh sprouts, and halved cherry tomatoes. Add the natto on top as well.
Step 7
Drizzle the prepared soy sauce and perilla oil mixture evenly over the ingredients. You can adjust the amount of sauce to your preference.
Step 8
Mix everything together thoroughly with a spoon until well combined. This one-bowl meal is now complete!
Step 9
Enjoy your delicious Tuna Cucumber Bibimbap! If you add more vegetables you have on hand, it can be a great meal for weight management. It’s a wonderful way to use up ingredients and eat healthily.
