Ingredients (for 1 serving)- 1/4 head cabbage
- 1/4 carrot
- 1/4 apple
- Sesame seed dressing
- 1 hard-boiled egg
- Sliced almonds
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
For salads, the preparation of fresh ingredients is more than half the battle. Once you have the vegetables ready before cooking, the salad is almost complete. First, thinly shred the carrot and cabbage, place them in an airtight container, and refrigerate. This helps maintain their freshness for longer.
Step 2
Apples can turn brown or become mushy if pre-shredded, so
Step 3
it’s best to slice them just before you’re ready to eat. This way, you can enjoy the apple’s crispness and freshness.
Step 4
Adding protein to your salad makes it a more filling meal. Today, we’ll add a hard-boiled egg. You can boil your egg using an egg cooker or a pot, according to your preference.
Step 5
Take out the cabbage and carrot that you shredded the day before from the refrigerator. Cabbage can spoil quickly if it comes into contact with water, so rinse it thoroughly under running water just before eating and pat it dry.
Step 6
Arrange the shredded cabbage, carrot, and the apple sliced just before serving in a bowl. The mix of colorful vegetables will make it look even more appetizing.
Step 7
I used an egg cooker and boiled the egg for less than 10 minutes, resulting in a perfectly soft-boiled egg. A soft-boiled egg blends wonderfully with the salad, making it even more delicious due to the creamy yolk.
Step 8
We’ll add a simple flavor using a store-bought sesame dressing. Of course, making your own dressing is great, but on busy days, using a store-bought sauce like this can save time while still enjoying a delicious salad.
Step 9
Start by placing the hard-boiled egg, a great source of protein, on top of the salad. You can halve it so the yolk runs down, or leave it whole.
Step 10
Now, generously drizzle the prepared sesame dressing and sprinkle some crunchy sliced almonds from the refrigerator. The nutty texture of the almonds will enhance the overall flavor of the salad.
Step 11
I had this salad for breakfast instead of rice today, and it was so satisfying and delicious! It’s truly the perfect meal replacement for breakfast. Start your day healthily and deliciously!
