- 1/2 onion
- 120g Spam (about 1/2 can)

Step 1
First, let’s prepare the main ingredient, the potatoes. You can use the potatoes with the skin on if you’ve washed them thoroughly, or peel them if you prefer. Slice the potatoes into julienne strips, about 3-4mm thick – not too thin, not too thick. Thicker cuts offer a chewier texture, while thinner cuts result in a softer bite. Adjust the thickness to your preference.
Step 2
An important step for the shredded potatoes is to soak them in cold water for about 15 minutes. This process removes excess starch, which prevents the potatoes from clumping together when stir-fried, leading to a beautifully separated and delicious dish. After soaking, drain the potatoes thoroughly in a colander.
