Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare all the ingredients for the dish. Peel the potato and wash it thoroughly. Measure out the oats and crack the egg into a separate bowl. (Tip: You can add the egg towards the end of cooking, or omit it entirely.)
Step 2
Place the peeled potato into a blender along with a small amount of water (about 50ml). Blend until you achieve a smooth, lump-free potato puree. (Tip: If you don’t have a blender, you can grate the potato.)
Step 3
In a pot, combine the pureed potato, oats, and 200ml of water (or milk). Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon or whisk, until the oats are fully cooked and the mixture thickens, about 3-5 minutes. (Tip: Continuous stirring is crucial to prevent sticking.)
Step 4
Once the potato and oats have softened, stir in the curry powder to your liking. (You can omit the curry powder or adjust the amount.) Add the tuna extract, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
Step 5
When the porridge reaches your desired consistency, whisk in the cracked egg. The egg will cook and add a richer, creamier texture to the porridge. (Tip: If you prefer not to add egg, you can skip this step.)
Step 6
Pour the finished oatmeal potato porridge into a bowl. Garnish with sesame seeds and crumbled seaweed for a nutritious and warm bowl of deliciousness! 🥣✨
