Ingredients
  • 1 small potato (approx. 100-150g)
  • 150g plain yogurt (can adjust to taste)
  • 1 Tbsp granulated sugar (or honey, condensed milk)
  • 2 Brazil nuts

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

1. Prepare and Microwave the Potato: First, wash the potato thoroughly and peel it. Then, cut the potato into rough 1-2 cm chunks. Place the chopped potato in a deep, microwave-safe bowl. Add enough water to cover the potato pieces. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap, leaving it slightly loose, and microwave for about 5 minutes. (Adjust the cooking time based on the potato size and your microwave’s power. It’s done when a chopstick can easily pierce through it.)

Step 2

2. Mash the Potato and Adjust Sweetness: Carefully remove the cooked potato from the microwave, drain any excess water, and transfer it to a bowl while still warm. Add 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar and mash the potato. The residual heat from the potato will help the sugar dissolve and create a smooth mash. (If you prefer more sweetness, you can increase the amount of sugar or use condensed milk or honey instead. For a smoother texture, consider using a fork or a potato masher.)

Step 3

3. Add Yogurt and Toppings: Pour 150g of plain yogurt over the mashed potato. Finally, roughly crush 2 Brazil nuts with your hands and sprinkle them over the yogurt to finish. You can substitute Brazil nuts with other nuts like almonds or walnuts if preferred.
