Delicious Potato Sausage Stir-Fry
When I couldn’t find a suitable side dish for my kids, I decided to make a stir-fry with potatoes and sausages. It turned out to be a delightful surprise, and they absolutely loved it! This recipe is a wonderful way to use up simple ingredients and create a comforting, flavorful dish that’s perfect for children and adults alike.
Main Ingredients- 1 medium potato
- 2 frankfurter sausages (or your preferred type)

- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp butter
- A pinch of herb-flavored salt (or regular salt and pepper to taste)

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Wash the potato thoroughly. Peel if desired, then cut it into thin strips, about 0.5 cm thick. Rinse the potato strips under cold water to remove excess starch; this helps prevent them from sticking together during cooking.
Step 2
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Blanch the potato strips for just 1-2 minutes. This step significantly reduces cooking time and helps maintain the potato’s shape. Drain the blanched potatoes in a colander and ensure all excess water is removed.
Step 3
Lightly boil the frankfurter sausages for about a minute to remove excess grease, or you can use them directly. Slice the sausages into strips, about 0.5 cm thick, similar to the potatoes.
Step 4
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, being careful not to burn it. This gentle sautéing will infuse the oil with a wonderful garlic aroma.
Step 5
Once the garlic is fragrant, add the drained potato strips to the pan. Increase the heat to medium and stir-fry. Season with a pinch of herb-flavored salt (or salt and pepper) as the potatoes begin to turn golden. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
Step 6
When the potatoes are about halfway cooked, add the sliced sausages to the pan. Continue to stir-fry until the sausages are heated through and lightly browned. Finally, add 1 teaspoon of butter and toss everything together. The butter adds a rich flavor and a beautiful glossy finish to the dish.
Step 7
Once everything is perfectly cooked and coated, transfer the potato and sausage stir-fry to a serving dish. Serve hot and enjoy this delicious, comforting meal. You can optionally sprinkle with sesame seeds for an extra touch.
