For a cleaner taste and texture, we recommend briefly blanching the bacon in boiling alkaline water for about 30 seconds before using. This helps remove excess fat. Finely mince the bacon, potatoes, and onions. Finely chopping the vegetables will ensure a smoother, more cohesive filling.

Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a preheated frying pan over medium heat. Add the minced bacon, potatoes, and onions, and sauté for about 1 minute until the vegetables soften slightly and the bacon begins to render its fat.
