Main Ingredients- 150g Yam: Peeled and ready to use.
- 2 cloves Garlic: Thinly sliced into slivers.
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare 150g of fresh yam. After thoroughly peeling the skin, slice it into round pieces approximately 0.5cm thick. Cutting them to a uniform thickness ensures they cook evenly, making for a more delicious dish.
Step 2
For added aroma, peel 2 cloves of garlic and thinly slice them into slivers. The garlic’s fragrance will infuse into the olive oil and yam, creating a deeper, richer flavor.
Step 3
Now, heat a frying pan over medium-low heat and add 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Sauté the sliced garlic until fragrant and lightly golden. Once the garlic is aromatic, add the prepared yam slices and cook them together. At this stage, sprinkle a pinch of salt to enhance the yam’s subtle sweetness and nutty notes, creating a well-balanced flavor. Flip the yam slices as needed until they are golden brown on both sides.
