Ingredients- Leftover songpyeon, about 1 plateful
- Assorted nuts (walnuts, almonds, peanuts, etc.), 1 handful
- Honey, 2-3 tablespoons
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, gather your leftover songpyeon. Even if they have become a bit firm, they are perfect for this recipe. Prepare a handful of assorted nuts to add a delightful crunch. You can use your favorite nuts like walnuts, almonds, or peanuts.
Step 2
Arrange the songpyeon and nuts on an oven tray. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 5 minutes, or until lightly golden and fragrant. If you don’t have an oven, you can achieve a similar result using an air fryer or by pan-frying them in a dry skillet over low heat, being careful not to burn them. This step will soften the songpyeon and toast the nuts to enhance their nutty flavor.
Step 3
Once baked and softened, transfer the songpyeon and toasted nuts to a large bowl. Drizzle 2-3 tablespoons of honey over them. The amount of honey can be adjusted based on your preference for sweetness and the quantity of songpyeon. Gently toss everything together with a spoon or spatula until the songpyeon and nuts are evenly coated with honey. Serve immediately while warm for the best chewy and sweet experience!
