A recipe designed to make your side dishes more nutritious. This dish elevates the humble broccoli into a flavorful and healthy addition to your meals.
Main Ingredients- 1 head of fresh broccoli
- 10 almonds
- 70g imitation crab meat (kani kama)
Seasoning- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp vinegar
- 0.5 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 Tbsp olive oil

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Wash the broccoli thoroughly under running water. Blanch it briefly in boiling water with a pinch of salt. Adding salt not only enhances the vibrant green color but also helps keep the broccoli crisp. Boil for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, then immediately rinse with cold water and drain well. (Tip: You can trim the tough bottom part of the broccoli stem and use it in other dishes.)
Step 2
Cut the blanched broccoli into bite-sized pieces. Shred or cut the imitation crab meat into similar sizes. Grind the almonds in a blender until finely powdered. (Tip: Grinding the almonds adds a nutty flavor and helps the sauce coat the broccoli evenly.)
Step 3
Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a preheated pan over low heat. Add the ground almond powder and stir-fry for about 1 minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the almonds. (Tip: Use low heat to prevent burning.)
Step 4
Add the prepared broccoli and imitation crab meat to the pan. Stir to combine with the ground almonds. Once the ingredients are mixed, add 1 tablespoon of vinegar and 0.5 tablespoon of oyster sauce. Stir-fry over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes, ensuring everything is well combined. (Tip: If the mixture seems too dry or the sauce isn’t coating well, add about 1 tablespoon of water to help blend the ingredients.)
