Porridge Ingredients

  • 1 potato (medium size)
  • 1 onion (medium size)
  • 1/2 carrot
  • A handful of chives (approx. 50g)
  • A piece of radish (approx. 50g)
  • 1/2 green onion stalk
  • 5-6 whole garlic cloves
  • 1.5 cups soaked rice (soaked in cold water for at least 30 minutes)

Prepare one whole chicken, fresh chives, carrots, onion, and potato. You can add other vegetables too.

Clean the chicken thoroughly. For the broth, prepare a piece of radish, a large chunk of carrot, green onion, and whole garlic cloves. Place the chicken and these vegetables in a pot, cover with plenty of water, and boil until the chicken is fully cooked (about 40-60 minutes).

While the chicken is boiling, finely chop the carrot, chives, potato, and onion for stir-frying. Chop them to a suitable size so they cook evenly and don’t take too long.

Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the pot and let it cool slightly. Then, shred the meat into bite-sized pieces. Keep the chicken bones and the boiled vegetables; they will be used for the broth.
