Main Ingredients

  • 1 pack (180g) Bibigo Mushroom Bulgogi Sauce (store-bought)
  • 30 peeled quail eggs
  • 1 Cheongyang chili pepper
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Braising Sauce Base

  • 200ml water
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp cooking syrup (or corn syrup/oligosaccharide)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, prepare all the ingredients for the dish. Lightly rinse the peeled quail eggs under running water and drain. Remove the seeds from the Cheongyang chili pepper and finely mince it. Have the toasted sesame seeds ready.

Step 1

Step 2

In a medium-sized pot, combine the braising sauce ingredients: 200ml water, 2 Tbsp soy sauce, and 1 Tbsp cooking syrup. Mix them well. Add the peeled quail eggs and 1 tsp of minced garlic to the pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat for 5 minutes, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for another 5 minutes to allow the quail eggs to absorb the flavor.

Step 2

Step 3

Once the quail eggs have simmered for a bit, add the entire pack of ‘Bibigo Mushroom Bulgogi Sauce’ (180g) and the finely minced Cheongyang chili pepper. Keep the heat on low, rather than high, and continue to simmer for approximately 8 to 10 minutes. The key is to cook until the sauce has penetrated the ingredients and the liquid has reduced to a glaze.

Step 3

Step 4

When all the ingredients are well braised and the sauce has thickened, turn off the heat. Finally, sprinkle 1 Tbsp of toasted sesame seeds evenly over the dish and stir gently with a spatula to combine. Your delicious mushroom and quail egg jangjorim is now ready!

Step 4

Step 5

Transfer the finished mushroom and quail egg jangjorim to a nice serving dish. Its appealing presentation will enhance your dining table.

Step 5

Step 6

Congratulations! Your rich and flavorful ‘Mushroom and Quail Egg Jangjorim Made with Bibigo Mushroom Bulgogi’ is complete. It’s absolutely delicious served over a bowl of warm rice!
