Fried Rice Ingredients

  • 3 potatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 green onion
  • A little sliced ham
  • 5 slices of cheese
  • 5 shiitake mushrooms

Seasoning Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • A little cooking oil
  • A little sesame oil

Cooking Instructions

First, thoroughly wash and prepare all the vegetables for the fried rice. Trim the potatoes, onions, carrots, green onions, and shiitake mushrooms.

Finely mince the prepared vegetables and ham into bite-sized pieces. For ingredients like potatoes, carrots, and shiitake mushrooms, which take longer to cook, it’s good to mince them slightly smaller. Slice the green onions and ham as well.

Heat a frying pan with a generous amount of cooking oil. Stir-fry the vegetables according to their cooking times. Start by adding the potatoes and carrots and sautéing them over medium heat, then add the onions and shiitake mushrooms and continue to cook. Be mindful of the heat to prevent the vegetables from burning.

Once the vegetables are partially cooked, add the minced green onions and ham and stir-fry to enhance the flavors. When the vegetables are almost done, add two bowls of rice. Break up any clumps of rice with your spatula and stir-fry until the rice is slightly toasted. Next, add half a teaspoon of salt, a little sesame oil, and 3 tablespoons of oyster sauce to season. Stir well. Finally, place the slices of cheese on top of the rice, cover the pan briefly to melt the cheese, then mix everything together for a delicious fried rice!
