Kid-Friendly Sausage and Vegetable Stir-Fry (Ssoya)
A Delicious Side Dish for the Whole Family! Vienna Sausage and Vegetable Stir-Fry with Oyster Sauce – The Golden Recipe
A magical recipe that even picky eaters will love, without the spiciness of gochujang! Introducing the Ssoya Stir-Fry recipe. It’s simple yet makes for a wonderful meal or lunchbox side.
Ingredients for Ssoya Stir-Fry- 180g Vienna sausages (1 pack)
- 1/4 red bell pepper
- 1/4 yellow bell pepper
- 1/2 onion
- A pinch of sesame seeds (for garnish)
Ssoya Stir-Fry Golden Sauce- 3 Tbsp ketchup
- 2 Tbsp oligosaccharide
- 0.5 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 0.5 Tbsp minced garlic
- 3 Tbsp ketchup
- 2 Tbsp oligosaccharide
- 0.5 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 0.5 Tbsp minced garlic
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, wash the bell peppers and onion thoroughly and remove the seeds. Cut them into bite-sized pieces (about 1.5cm x 1.5cm). Make 2-3 shallow cuts on the Vienna sausages. This helps them cook evenly and absorb the sauce better, preventing bursting in the pan.
Step 2
To reduce the saltiness and remove impurities, we’ll briefly blanch the Vienna sausages in boiling water. Fill a pot with plenty of water and bring it to a rolling boil. Add the sausages and blanch for about 1-2 minutes. Boiling them for too long can diminish their flavor. Drain the blanched sausages and place them in a colander to remove excess water.
Step 3
Let’s prepare the delicious sauce for our Ssoya Stir-Fry! In a bowl, combine 3 Tbsp ketchup, 2 Tbsp oligosaccharide, 0.5 Tbsp gochujang, 1 Tbsp oyster sauce, and 0.5 Tbsp minced garlic. Mix well with a spoon. Having the sauce pre-mixed makes the cooking process much smoother.
Step 4
Now, let’s start stir-frying. Heat a pan over medium heat and add a small amount of cooking oil (about 1 Tbsp). Add the chopped bell peppers and onion. Stir-fry until the onion becomes translucent. This process draws out the sweetness from the vegetables, enhancing the overall flavor of the dish.
Step 5
Once the onion is translucent, add the drained Vienna sausages to the pan.
Step 6
Since the Vienna sausages have already been blanched, stir-fry them with the vegetables over medium heat for just a short while, about 1 minute. Overcooking can make the sausages tough, so be mindful of the time.
Step 7
Finally, pour the prepared delicious sauce into the pan. Stir-fry quickly with a spatula to ensure the sauce coats all the ingredients evenly. As the sauce thickens slightly, sprinkle a pinch of sesame seeds just before turning off the heat for an extra nutty aroma. Your delicious Ssoya Stir-Fry is ready! Serve it over warm rice for a delightful meal.
