Salad Ingredients- 1 pack beef flank steak (approx. 200-300g)
- 1 handful salad mix greens (approx. 50g)
- 3 lettuce leaves
- 1 hard-boiled egg
- A pinch of sesame seeds
Special Soy Dressing- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp green plum syrup or peach extract
- 1/2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 1/2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp green plum syrup or peach extract
- 1/2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 1/2 Tbsp lemon juice
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Before placing the flank steak on the salad, lightly grease a heated frying pan over medium-low heat by wiping it with a paper towel or using a light spray of cooking oil. (Avoid using too much oil.)
Step 2
Place the prepared flank steak in the pan and sear it until golden brown on both sides. To retain its juices, avoid overcooking; aim for medium-rare to medium for the best flavor and texture.
Step 3
Arrange the salad mix greens attractively in a large salad bowl or on a plate. The crisp texture of the fresh greens will enhance the overall flavor of the salad.
Step 4
Tear the 3 clean lettuce leaves into bite-sized pieces (about 3-4 cm) and spread them evenly over the greens. The added crunch of the lettuce will make the salad more substantial.
Step 5
Cut the pre-boiled egg in half or into quarters and arrange them aesthetically on top of the salad. The soft texture of the egg complements the other ingredients beautifully.
Step 6
Slice the well-cooked flank steak into bite-sized pieces (about 1-2 cm thick) and artfully arrange them over the salad. Placing the steak while it’s still warm will further enhance its aroma and flavor.
Step 7
Drizzle the special soy dressing, made by mixing all the dressing ingredients, evenly over the salad. Ensure the dressing coats everything for maximum flavor absorption.
Step 8
Finally, sprinkle a pinch of sesame seeds over the salad for a nutty aroma and delightful texture. The popping sensation and savory taste of the sesame seeds elevate the salad’s final presentation.
Step 9
Your Beef Flank Steak and Vegetable Salad is now complete, boasting a perfect harmony of juicy steak, fresh vegetables, and a savory-sweet dressing! Enjoy your delicious creation!
