Main Ingredients
- 5 Potatoes
- 1/2 Carrot
- 1 Onion
- 15 Vienna Sausages
- 7 pieces Broccoli
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the vegetables and sausages for the curry. Peel and chop the potatoes, carrot, and onion into large, roughly pencil-sharpener-sized pieces. Cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Slice the Vienna sausages lengthwise.
Step 2
Especially for the potatoes, cutting them larger adds a satisfying texture, making the curry even more delicious. Adjust the potato size according to your preference.
Step 3
In a large pot or pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-low heat. If you don’t have butter, you can substitute it with cooking oil. Sauté the vegetables to infuse them with the buttery flavor.
Step 4
Once the butter is melted, add the prepared onion, carrot, broccoli, and sausages. Stir-fry them together to bring out the sweetness and aroma of the vegetables. Add the potatoes and sauté briefly.
Step 5
Once the vegetables are somewhat sautéed, add 700ml of water and 1 chicken stock cube. Stir well, then bring to a boil over high heat.
Step 6
When the water comes to a rolling boil, first add the 4 tablespoons of turmeric powder and whisk thoroughly to ensure there are no lumps. You’ll notice the fragrant aroma of turmeric.
Step 7
Next, add the 200g of spicy curry powder and stir continuously until it’s completely dissolved. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer until the curry thickens. It’s important to stir occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom.
Step 8
Prepare warm rice. Today, we’ll serve it with mushroom butter rice. Nicely plate the rice on one side of the serving dish.
Step 9
