  • Vanilla ice cream, 5 Tbsp
  • 1 cookie that pairs well with coffee (e.g., Lotus, Kookoo Das)
  • 1 shot of espresso
  • Corn flakes or almond flakes, 1 Tbsp

Prepare a nice bowl or glass for your affogato. Scoop about 5 tablespoons of creamy vanilla ice cream into it. The ice cream will taste even better if it’s just starting to soften.

Now, let’s add a crunchy cookie for an extra layer of texture and flavor. Choose a cookie that complements coffee well, like Lotus biscuits or Kookoo Das, and place it attractively on top of the ice cream. This adds a beautiful visual touch.

We’ll add a crunchy topping over the sweet ice cream. Sprinkle about 1 tablespoon of sweet corn flakes, or for a nutty flavor, use almond flakes. You can also use other nuts if you prefer.

If you don’t have an espresso machine, you can make a great substitute by dissolving instant coffee (like Kanu) in just a tiny bit of hot water.
