Homemade Sweet Ice Candy Recipe
Easy DIY Ice Candy
For all you sweet tooths out there, here’s a special ice candy recipe! I call these delicious, candy-like frozen treats ‘ice candy’ and make them often. ♥ Unfortunately, I couldn’t capture every step of the process, but I’ll guide you through this simple method. Make your own refreshing and sweet ice candy!
Ingredients- 1 cup ice from a convenience store plastic cup
- 3-6ml of your favorite flavored drink or syrup
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the ice that will carry the flavor. About 1 cup of ice from a standard convenience store plastic cup is a good amount.
Step 2
Pour 3 to 6ml of your favorite flavored drink or syrup over the prepared ice. Be careful not to add too much, as it can cause the ice to melt too quickly. It’s best to start with a small amount and adjust to your taste. Using a concentrated flavor or syrup will result in a richer taste.
Step 3
Place the cup with the flavored ice directly into the freezer and let it freeze completely. Allow at least 2-3 hours, or until the ice is solid.
Step 4
Once the ice is frozen solid, carefully remove the ice block from the cup and invert it back into the cup. Instead of eating it immediately after taking it out of the freezer, let it thaw very slightly at room temperature. This will create a slightly softer outer layer, making it easier to scoop. Thawing for just 1-2 minutes is recommended.
Step 5
Now, use a spoon to gently scrape and scoop out the ice candy bit by bit. You’ll enjoy a sweet and refreshing treat! It has a wonderfully smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture similar to ice cream, combined with the delightful sweetness of the drink. Feel free to experiment with different flavored drinks to suit your preference!
