Ssamjang Ingredients- 3 Tbsp Doenjang (Korean fermented soybean paste)
- 1 Tbsp Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 100g Ground pork
- 1/2 Onion
- 2 Cheongyang peppers (Korean red chili peppers)
- 1 Tbsp Minced garlic
- 1/2 Tbsp Sugar
- A pinch of black pepper powder
- 1/2 Tbsp Sesame oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the key ingredients for the ssamjang: ground pork, fresh Cheongyang peppers, and a sweet onion. You can also add other vegetables like carrots or mushrooms for a richer flavor, depending on your preference.

Finely mince the Cheongyang peppers and onion. Mincing them small will ensure they blend smoothly into the ssamjang, improving its texture.

In a heated pan, add the ground pork, followed by the finely minced onion and Cheongyang peppers. Sprinkle a pinch of black pepper powder to remove any gamey odors.

Stir-fry over medium heat until all ingredients are cooked through. Cook until the pork loses its pink color and the onions become translucent.
