Crispy and Nutty Sesame Seed Cookies

Dough Ingredients- 1.5 Tbsp Water
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 4 Tbsp Flour
- 3 Tbsp Cooking Oil
- 1/2 Tbsp Sesame Seeds
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, combine 1.5 Tbsp water, 1/4 tsp salt, 4 Tbsp flour, and 3 Tbsp cooking oil. Mix them together. Don’t worry if the dough seems a bit wet initially. Knead the mixture by hand until it forms a smooth, cohesive dough. Shape the dough into a long, log-like cylinder. Slice the dough log into approximately 1cm thick pieces. Using a rolling pin, flatten each piece as thinly as possible – the thinner the dough, the crispier the cookie will be. Sprinkle the prepared 1/2 Tbsp sesame seeds evenly over the center of each flattened dough piece. Heat a frying pan over medium-low heat and add enough cooking oil to coat the bottom. Carefully place the sesame-seed-topped dough pieces into the hot oil. Fry them, flipping occasionally, until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides. Be sure to cook them over low heat to prevent burning and ensure they become thoroughly crisp.
Step 2
Once golden and crisp, remove the cookies from the pan and let them cool on a wire rack or paper towel. Once completely cooled, store them in an airtight container, wrapped tightly in plastic wrap, to maintain their crispiness for future enjoyment.

These cookies are delicious served immediately, but for a more refined experience, allow them to cool slightly before arranging them beautifully on a serving plate. Enjoy the wonderful nutty flavor with your favorite hot beverage!
