Ingredients

  • 1/2 apple
  • 1/2 Korean melon (chamoe)
  • 3 cherry tomatoes
  • 2/3 cup blueberries
  • 200ml strawberry milk or regular milk
  • 190ml small can of cider (or Sprite/7-Up)
  • 3 Tbsp condensed milk

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

The type and amount of fruit are flexible! Cut your desired fruits into small, bite-sized pieces (about 1-2 cm). Feel free to use any fruits you like and adjust the quantities to your preference.

Step 1

Step 2

Let’s prepare the refreshing liquid base. Pour 200ml of strawberry milk (or regular milk) into a bowl. Add a small 190ml can of cider. The secret to a delicious flavor is a near 1:1 ratio of milk to cider. Stir in 3 tablespoons of condensed milk for added sweetness. Tip: For the best refreshing taste, ensure all your ingredients are well-chilled in the refrigerator before you begin.

Step 2

Step 3

Add all the prepared fruits to the milk, cider, and condensed milk mixture. Gently stir everything together, ensuring the fruits are evenly distributed.

Step 3

Step 4

You can enjoy the hwachae immediately, but for an even more delightful experience, try chilling it in the freezer for about 20 minutes. When it’s slightly slushy but not completely frozen, it reaches peak deliciousness! Be sure to set a timer so it doesn’t freeze solid.
