  • 1 fresh lemon
  • Ice cubes (as needed)
  • 2 clear glass mugs
  • 1 straw

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, let’s gather all the ingredients you’ll need to make this delicious cherry lemon ade!

Step 1

Step 2

Start by preparing one lemon. While the lemon adds a lovely tanginess, you can omit it if you prefer. I chose to include it for an enhanced visual appeal.

Step 2

Step 3

Wash the lemon thoroughly under cold water. Slice about one-third of it, and then thinly slice one piece to garnish the mug.

Step 3

Step 4

Prepare two clear glass mugs for serving your ade.

Step 4

Step 5

Generously spoon your homemade cherry preserves into each glass mug. Look at that beautiful ruby-red color – it’s already making us excited!

Step 5

Step 6

An ade is best served cold, of course! Fill the mugs with ice cubes over the cherry preserves. It looks wonderfully refreshing already.

Step 6

Step 7

Here’s a view of the ade from above. Depending on the season, it looks cool and refreshing, perhaps hinting at the approaching autumn chill. It feels like a drink that perfectly complements the transition into fall.

Step 7

Step 8

Now, simply pour in your favorite lemon-flavored carbonated drink to complete the ade! I’ll be using ‘Demisoda Lemon’ for its delightful fizz.

Step 8

Step 9

Slowly pour the lemon carbonated drink into the tall glass. Pouring gently will create a beautiful gradient effect, just like in the picture.

Step 9

Step 10

Carefully pour the lemon drink into the smaller cup as well. The apple illustration on this cup makes the colors look even more vibrant and appealing!

Step 10

Step 11

For the tall glass, place the thinly sliced lemon piece on the rim as a garnish. Finish by adding a straw. This truly elevates the drink to a cafe-quality experience!

Step 11

Step 12

The color of the ade looks beautiful regardless of the filter used for photography. I’m very pleased with the result.

Step 12

Step 13

You can enjoy the ade as is, or stir it to combine all the flavors. I tried it without stirring first, and it was wonderful! You get the bright, zesty lemon flavor initially, followed by the pleasant sweetness of cherry. Cherries and lemon truly are a match made in heaven! If you make a batch of cherry preserves at home, you can easily recreate various cafe-style drinks like this. Give it a try!
