Pizza Ingredients

  • 4 Tortillas
  • 200g Beef Bulgogi (pre-marinated or prepared)
  • A handful of Arugula
  • 1/2 bulb of King Oyster Mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1/2 Onion (thinly sliced)
  • 2-3 Tbsp Tomato Sauce
  • 10 Tbsp Mozzarella Cheese (approx. 100g)
  • Pinch of Parmesan Cheese Powder

Bulgogi Marinade

  • 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 Tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Plum Extract (Maesil Extract)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, let’s prepare the delicious bulgogi marinade. In a bowl, combine 1 Tbsp minced garlic, 2 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 Tbsp sugar, 1/2 Tbsp sesame oil, and 1 Tbsp plum extract. Mix well. Add 200g of beef bulgogi to the marinade and gently toss to coat. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes. (You can also use store-bought bulgogi sauce!)

Step 1

Step 2

Now, let’s build the pizza base. Lay out two of the four tortillas side-by-side on your work surface. Sprinkle 5 Tbsp of mozzarella cheese (approx. 50g) evenly over the tortillas to create a cheesy foundation. More cheese makes it even tastier!

Step 2

Step 3

Place the remaining two tortillas on top of the first layer, stacking them. Using double tortillas prevents the crust from becoming soggy once the toppings are added and makes the pizza more substantial. Spread 2-3 Tbsp of tomato sauce thinly over the top tortilla.

Step 3

Step 4

Arrange a handful of fresh arugula and the sliced king oyster mushrooms decoratively over the tomato sauce. The slightly peppery arugula and the tender mushrooms will enhance the pizza’s flavor. Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or olives if you like.

Step 4

Step 5

Time for the star topping: the bulgogi! Heat a pan over medium heat and cook the marinated bulgogi and 1/2 thinly sliced onion until the beef is cooked through and the onion is translucent. Spread this cooked bulgogi mixture evenly over the pizza. Finally, generously sprinkle the remaining 5 Tbsp of mozzarella cheese (approx. 50g) over the top.

Step 5

Step 6

Place the assembled pizza on a baking sheet or in an air fryer. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) or in an air fryer for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the tortilla edges are lightly golden and crispy. Be careful not to overbake, as the tortilla can become too hard.

Step 6

Step 7

Once the cheese is perfectly melted, carefully remove the pizza from the oven. Garnish with more fresh arugula and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese powder for extra flavor. Slice and enjoy your delicious Bulgogi Tortilla Pizza while it’s warm! This recipe is a guaranteed hit!
