Ingredients

  • 1kg Blueberries
  • 500g Sugar
  • 3 Tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 Pinches Salt

It’s much easier and less rushed to start cooking after measuring all your ingredients first. I’ve measured out the sugar first ^^

Wash the frozen blueberries in clean water, then place them in a pot and stir to evaporate some of their moisture. This helps in achieving the right jam consistency.

Add the measured sugar. Lower the heat to medium-low to ensure the sugar melts without burning.

Once the sugar melts, it will look like there’s a lot of liquid. Continue simmering over medium-low heat. When it starts to thicken slightly, add the lemon juice and salt.

Simmer until it becomes slightly thick, stirring constantly to prevent the sugar from burning. Be mindful that if the jam becomes too viscous while cooking, it might harden too much upon cooling and become difficult to scoop. Cook while observing the consistency, and turn off the heat once it reaches your desired thickness. Your blueberry jam is complete!
