- 100g sujebi dough or pre-made sujebi flakes (Korean hand-pulled dough)
Seasoning & Broth- 3 Tbsp Doenjang (Korean fermented soybean paste)
- 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1/2 Tbsp gochugaru (Korean chili powder, fine grind)
- 1 liter rice water (water used to rinse rice)
- 2 pcs broth packs or bouillon cubes (anchovy-kelp broth recommended)
- 3 Tbsp Doenjang (Korean fermented soybean paste)
- 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1/2 Tbsp gochugaru (Korean chili powder, fine grind)
- 1 liter rice water (water used to rinse rice)
- 2 pcs broth packs or bouillon cubes (anchovy-kelp broth recommended)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Begin by thawing the frozen seafood mix in cold water. While the seafood thaws, you can prepare the other ingredients to save time.

Pour 1 liter of rice water into a ttukbaegi (Korean earthenware pot) or a regular pot. Add the broth packs or bouillon cubes to start creating a flavorful broth. Using homemade anchovy-kelp broth will add even more depth.

Once the broth begins to simmer, place the 3 Tbsp of doenjang into a fine-mesh sieve and gradually whisk it into the broth. This helps to dissolve the paste smoothly, preventing clumps and ensuring a silky texture.
