Ingredients (Serves 4)- 150g ground pork
- 6 fresh lettuce leaves
- 1/2 cup well-fermented radish kimchi (chopped)
- 1/2 cup seasoned spinach
- 1/2 cup chopped napa cabbage kimchi
- 3 fresh eggs
- 4 bowls of cooked rice
Seasoning & Sauce- 1 Tbsp cooking oil
- A pinch of herb-salted seasoning (to taste)
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp oligosaccharide (adjust sweetness)
- 3 Tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 2 Tbsp spicy mixed bibimbap sauce
- 1 Tbsp cooking oil
- A pinch of herb-salted seasoning (to taste)
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp oligosaccharide (adjust sweetness)
- 3 Tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 2 Tbsp spicy mixed bibimbap sauce
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add 150g of ground pork and begin to stir-fry.
Step 2
As the pork starts to cook, sprinkle with herb-salted seasoning to your preference. This helps remove any gamey odor and enhances the flavor.
Step 3
Add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and 1 teaspoon of oligosaccharide. Stir well to prevent burning and continue to cook until the pork is completely done. You’ll have a glossy and flavorful ground pork mixture.
Step 4
Wash the fresh lettuce leaves thoroughly under running water. Gently pat them dry and then cut them into bite-sized pieces (about 2-3 cm). Keeping them crisp is key.
Step 5
In a large bowl or traditional ‘yangpun’ (metal basin), arrange the chopped radish kimchi, seasoned spinach, napa cabbage kimchi, and the cut lettuce. Aim for a visually appealing mix of colors and textures.
Step 6
Neatly place the delicious stir-fried ground pork mixture on top of the arranged vegetables. The generous portion of pork will further enhance the overall flavor of the bibimbap.
Step 7
In a separate pan, lightly grease and fry 3 eggs sunny-side up, ensuring the yolks remain runny. A perfectly runny yolk is the secret ingredient for a creamy and rich bibimbap!
Step 8
Fill the center of the bowl with 4 servings of warm cooked rice. Gently place the sunny-side-up fried egg on top. Finally, drizzle 3 tablespoons of toasted sesame oil and 2 tablespoons of spicy mixed bibimbap sauce over everything, and mix well to enjoy!
Step 9
Your mouthwatering Yangpun Bibimbap, featuring a medley of vegetables, flavorful ground pork, and a luscious fried egg, is now ready! Enjoy your delicious meal!
