Ingredients- 2 Tortillas
- 2 Hambak Steaks (store-bought)
- 2 Demiglace Sauce packets (for Hambak Steak)
- 2 Tbsp Mayonnaise
- 1.5 Bowls Cooked Rice
- 1/4 Bell Pepper
- 1/4 Onion
- 4 Lettuce Leaves
- Pinch of Black Pepper
- 4 Slices Cheddar Cheese
- 2 Tbsp Pizza Cheese
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s prepare the fillings for the burrito. Wash the bell pepper and onion, remove the seeds, and finely dice them into roughly 0.5cm pieces. Dicing them slightly larger will give a better texture, so avoid making them too small.
Step 2
It’s time to cook the hambak steaks perfectly. Heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Place the hambak steaks in the hot oil and cook until golden brown on both sides. If the hambak steaks are large, cut them into bite-sized pieces (about 2-3 cm) for easier rolling later.
Step 3
Now, let’s make the fried rice filling. In a separate pan, add a little cooking oil and sauté the diced onion and bell pepper until they become translucent. Once the vegetables are tender, add the warm cooked rice, the demiglace sauce that came with the hambak steaks, mayonnaise, and a pinch of black pepper. Stir everything together until well combined, ensuring each grain of rice is coated with the sauce.
Step 4
Now it’s time to assemble the burrito. On one tortilla, place 2 slices of cheddar cheese. Then, add a generous portion of the fried rice mixture from step 2. Top with the cut hambak steak pieces. Finally, add 2 lettuce leaves and 1 tablespoon of pizza cheese. Fold in the sides of the tortilla first, then tightly roll it up from the bottom to the top.
Step 5
Finally, let’s grill the burrito to enhance its flavor. Place the assembled burrito from step 3 onto a clean, dry pan. Grill over low heat until the cheese is melted and gooey. Be careful not to overcook, as the tortilla can become hard. Enjoy your delicious homemade burrito!
