Main Ingredients- 2 slices of thick bread
- 1 thick Galbi patty
Toast Fillings- 1 slice of cheese
- 66g fresh cabbage
- 2 eggs
- 51g crisp bell pepper (or paprika)
- 20g sweet onion
- 10g flavorful butter
- A little cooking oil
Special Sauces- 1 Tbsp BBQ sauce
- A pinch of sugar (or honey) for sweetness adjustment
- 19g tangy tomato ketchup
- 19g creamy mayonnaise
- 1 slice of cheese
- 66g fresh cabbage

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare all the necessary ingredients for your delicious Galbi toast. Wash the vegetables thoroughly under running water.
Step 2
Finely chop the vegetables that will go into the egg mixture. Mince the bell pepper (or paprika) and onion. Chopping them finely and evenly is key to a pleasant texture.
Step 3
In a bowl, crack the 2 eggs. Whisk them gently with a fork or whisk to break the yolks and create a smooth egg mixture. You don’t need to add salt at this stage.
Step 4
Add the minced bell pepper and onion to the whisked egg mixture. Stir well to combine the vegetables evenly with the eggs.

Wash the cabbage and ensure all excess water is drained completely. This prevents splattering when cooking. Then, thinly shred the cabbage. Thin shreds provide a better texture and blend well with the sauces.

To make assembly easier and keep the toast stable, place two long chopsticks side-by-side on a plate. This will act as a base for your toast.

Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Add 10g of butter and let it melt slowly. Be careful not to burn the butter.

Once the butter is fully melted, place the 2 slices of bread in the pan. Toast them over medium-low heat until golden brown and crispy on both sides. Aim for a crispy exterior and a warm, soft interior.

While the toast is still warm, carefully place the golden-brown slices on the prepared chopsticks on the plate. This helps them cool slightly without becoming soggy.

In a clean frying pan, add a little cooking oil and cook the Galbi patty until golden brown on both sides. Cook over medium-low heat to preserve the patty’s juices and prevent the marinade from burning.

Now, let’s make a thick egg roll. Heat a tamagoyaki pan or a regular frying pan over low heat, add a little oil, and pour in the egg mixture. Spread it thinly and let it cook, then start rolling it from one side.

Continue adding small amounts of egg mixture and rolling until you have a thick, beautiful egg roll. Keep the heat low to ensure it cooks through evenly and remains tender.

Lightly sprinkle a tiny amount of sugar or honey onto one of the cooled, toasted bread slices. This adds a hint of sweetness without being overpowering.

Place the thick egg roll you just made onto the bread slice with the sugar (or honey).
