Sandwich Fillings- 2 slices of bread
- 6 leaves of Romaine lettuce
- 1/2 apple
- 50g onion
- 3 sticks of imitation crab meat (surimi)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, toast the bread slices in a pan until golden brown on both sides. This helps prevent the bread from becoming soggy and adds a delightful crispiness. Wash the Romaine lettuce leaves thoroughly under running water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Peel, core, and thinly slice the apple. Slice the onion thinly along the grain, then soak it in cold water for about 5 minutes to remove its pungent flavor, and finally squeeze out excess water. Gently shred the imitation crab meat sticks into smaller pieces.
Step 2
Now, it’s time to assemble the sandwich. Lay a sheet of plastic wrap on your cutting board. Place one slice of toasted bread on the plastic wrap, followed by a generous layer of the dried Romaine lettuce. Arrange the shredded crab stick, apple slices, and prepared onion evenly on top of the lettuce. Add another layer of Romaine lettuce, and finally, top with the second slice of toasted bread.
Step 3
