When a single bowl of rice feels a bit too little, why not prepare a satisfying noodle dish? This time, I added some udon noodles and used ingredients I had at home, and the taste was absolutely amazing! This recipe is perfect for a quick and flavorful meal.
Main Ingredients
- 100g thinly sliced beef (for bulgogi)
- A little carrot, julienned
- A little cabbage, julienned
- A handful of fresh bean sprouts
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- A little pizza cheese
Seasoning & Sauce
- 1 Tbsp BBQ sauce
- 2 Tbsp tomato spaghetti sauce
- 2 Tbsp water
- 4.5g dried vegetable flakes (optional, for enhanced flavor)
- 1 Tbsp BBQ sauce
- 2 Tbsp tomato spaghetti sauce
- 2 Tbsp water
- 4.5g dried vegetable flakes (optional, for enhanced flavor)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
1. Heat a little cooking oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. 2. First, stir-fry the prepared vegetables (cabbage, carrot) and sliced garlic until fragrant. Once the cabbage becomes slightly translucent, proceed to the next step. 3. Add the thinly sliced beef and bean sprouts to the pan and stir-fry them together. Once the beef starts to lose its pink color and is cooked, cut it into bite-sized pieces using kitchen scissors. It’s best to cook the bean sprouts just until they are slightly wilted to maintain their crisp texture.
Step 2
1. The golden ratio for the sauce! Combine 1 Tbsp of BBQ sauce, 2 Tbsp of tomato spaghetti sauce, 2 Tbsp of water, and dried vegetable flakes (optional). Stir well until all ingredients are evenly mixed. 2. Add the udon noodles to boiling water and blanch for 1-2 minutes. Gently separate the noodles with long cooking chopsticks so they don’t stick together, then quickly drain and add them to the frying pan. Be careful not to overcook the noodles; they should remain slightly firm.
Step 3
1. Quickly stir-fry the noodles, cooked beef, and vegetables in the pan with the sauce. The key is to mix everything thoroughly so the noodles absorb the sauce well. 2. Finally, sprinkle the frozen pizza cheese evenly over the udon for an extra layer of flavor. 3. Let it simmer over low heat until the cheese is melted and gooey. Cheese can burn quickly over high heat, so monitor its melting progress visually and adjust the heat accordingly. Once the cheese is melted to perfection, your delicious Beef and Bean Sprout Udon is ready to enjoy!
