Ingredients
  • 2 pre-made Tteokgalbi patties
  • 3 slices sandwich ham
  • 1/4 onion
  • 1/6 red bell pepper
  • 2 mini king oyster mushrooms
  • A little cooking oil
  • A pinch of white pepper
  • 1/4 tsp fine salt
  • Pizza cheese (to taste)
  • 2 Tbsp tomato sauce

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare 2 pre-made Tteokgalbi patties. Cook them over low heat, flipping them gently, until they are soft and golden brown on both sides. Be careful not to burn the outside while the inside remains cold by cooking over high heat.

Step 2

Cut the 3 slices of sandwich ham into 4 pieces each. Thinly slice 1/4 of a small onion. Slice the 2 mini king oyster mushrooms thinly. Also, thinly slice about 1/6 of a red bell pepper into strips. Using colorful vegetables will make the pizza look more appealing.

Step 3

Prepare your pizza cheese. You can adjust the amount according to your preference. Plenty of stretchy cheese will make the pizza taste even richer.

Step 4

Heat a little cooking oil in a pan and stir-fry the prepared vegetables. Season with a pinch of white pepper and 1/4 tsp of fine salt. Stir-fry the vegetables until they are tender but still slightly crisp, avoiding them becoming too soggy.

Step 5

Sauté the thinly sliced ham as well. While sandwich ham might seem a bit thin for pizza, it’s a great way to use up leftover ham from making sandwiches.

Step 6

Lightly sautéed vegetables and ham. Set them aside on a plate. Pre-sautéing the toppings makes assembling the pizza much easier.

Step 7

Cut the cooked Tteokgalbi patties in half, then into quarters. Arrange these Tteokgalbi pieces on a plate to serve as your pizza base. The chewy texture of the Tteokgalbi surprisingly pairs well with pizza.

Step 8

Spread about 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce evenly over the Tteokgalbi base. Be careful not to use too much sauce, as it can make the pizza too salty.

Step 9

Arrange the sautéed ham pieces nicely over the tomato sauce. The savory flavor of the ham will enhance the overall taste.

Step 10

Next, evenly distribute the sautéed vegetables on top of the ham. The vibrant colors of the vegetables make the pizza look even more appetizing.

Step 11

Finally, generously sprinkle the pizza cheese over the toppings. The thick layer of melting cheese looks incredibly tempting! While it might not have the perfect shape of a store-bought pizza, its thickness is certainly impressive thanks to the Tteokgalbi.

Step 12

Place the assembled Tteokgalbi pizza in the microwave and heat for about 1 minute and 20 seconds, or until the cheese is perfectly melted and bubbly. This delicious Tteokgalbi pizza will be a fantastic snack to enjoy with a cold beer! *^^*
