Hearty and Delicious Pork Jajang Recipe
Homemade Nutritious Pork Jajang
A magical recipe that fills your refrigerator and makes your meals abundant! Here’s a delicious pork jajang recipe that even my husband loves. It’s easy to make anytime, perfect for mixing with rice or as a side dish.
Main Ingredients- 300g ground pork
- 3 Tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 3 Tbsp minced garlic
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, lightly grease a heated pan with cooking oil and add 3 tablespoons of minced garlic. Sauté over medium-low heat until the garlic becomes fragrant and lightly golden. This process removes the raw garlic taste and brings out a nutty aroma.
Step 2
Once the garlic is nicely sautéed, add 300g of ground pork. Cook over medium heat, breaking up any clumps with a spatula, until the pork is no longer pink and most of its moisture has evaporated. It’s important to stir frequently and cook evenly.
Step 3
When the pork is well-cooked and the moisture has reduced, add 3 tablespoons of gochujang. Stir well to coat the pork evenly and cook for another 1-2 minutes, being careful not to burn it. You can adjust the amount of gochujang based on its saltiness and your personal preference.
Step 4
Now, add 2 tablespoons of honey to balance the flavors. Honey softens the strong taste of gochujang and adds a subtle sweetness. Mix thoroughly until the honey is well combined with the gochujang and pork.
Step 5
Finally, add your desired amount of finely chopped nuts. Walnuts, almonds, or pine nuts can be used to add texture and nutty flavor. Gently stir to incorporate the nuts. Your pork jajang is now complete!
Step 6
Your delicious pork jajang is ready! It’s incredibly tasty when served over warm rice. For an even more satisfying meal, consider serving it with shredded cucumber and egg garnish or shredded egg. Store it in the refrigerator and enjoy!
