Step 1
Today, we’re going to make ‘Savory-Sweet Beef Bulgogi’, a dish that will add richness to your dining table. With just beef for bulgogi, you can create a wonderful meal that’s perfect for special days or any ordinary day.
Step 2
First, prepare 600g of beef for bulgogi. In a deep bowl, combine the beef, 1 tsp minced garlic, 3 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 Tbsp fish sauce, 1 Tbsp corn syrup (sweetness can be adjusted, or substitute with sugar), 1 Tbsp plum extract, and a pinch of black pepper. Gently mix these ingredients with your hands, ensuring the marinade coats the beef well. Marinating for at least 30 minutes will result in a deeper flavor.
Step 3
Prepare your thinly sliced onion, julienned carrot, and chopped green onion. (If you like, prepare mushrooms as well for added texture.) Now, mix the prepared vegetables with the marinated beef. Toss everything gently to ensure all ingredients are evenly coated with the marinade.

Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add the prepared beef bulgogi. As the beef cooks and the marinade begins to reduce, lower the heat slightly and stir-fry, being careful not to burn the meat. It’s almost ready when the sauce becomes slightly thick and the beef is tender.
