Delicious Sauce

  • 2 Tbsp Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 2.5 Tbsp Corn syrup (or Oligodang)
  • 1.2 Tbsp Soy sauce (Korean soup soy sauce, Jin-ganjang)
  • 1.2 Tbsp Minced garlic
  • 2 Tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame oil
  • 4 Tbsp Water

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Cut the dried shredded squid into 2-3 pieces of bite-sized length. Cutting them too short might cause them to unravel during stir-frying, so aim for a moderate length.

Add 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise to the cut squid and gently mix by hand. This step helps keep the squid tender and ensures the sauce adheres well without drying it out.

In a separate bowl or directly in the pan, combine all the sauce ingredients: 2 Tbsp Gochujang, 2.5 Tbsp corn syrup, 1.2 Tbsp soy sauce, 1.2 Tbsp minced garlic, and 1 Tbsp sesame oil.
