- Soy Sauce 1/4 cup
- Cooking Wine (Mirin, etc.) 1/4 cup
- Sugar 1/4 cup
- Minced Garlic 1 Tbsp
- Minced Ginger 1/2 Tbsp
- Grated Pear 1 cup
- Sesame Oil 3 Tbsp
- Black Pepper to taste
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the green onion by chopping it into large, bite-sized pieces. The sweet aroma of the green onion will enhance the bulgogi’s flavor.
Step 2
In a generous bowl, combine all the golden marinade ingredients: soy sauce, cooking wine, sugar, minced garlic, minced ginger, grated pear, sesame oil, and black pepper. Mix them thoroughly to create a delicious marinade. Grating the pear will add sweetness and tenderness to the sauce.
Step 3
Add the 1kg of prepared pork to the bowl with the marinade. Gently massage and mix the pork with your hands until every piece is well coated. It’s important to thoroughly mix the marinade into the meat. Marinating in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes will result in a deeper flavor.
Step 4
Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated pork in portions suitable for cooking. Stir-fry quickly, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking, until the pork is cooked through. Be careful not to overcook, as it can become tough. This will complete your delicious bulgogi.
Step 5
If you prefer a spicier taste, add 1-2 Tbsp of Gochujang (Korean chili paste) and 1 Tbsp of Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes) to the marinated pork mixture and mix well before stir-frying. It will transform into a spicy and addictive Jeyuk Bokkeum! It’s even more delicious when wrapped in fresh lettuce leaves with side dishes.
