- 1/2 onion
- 3 Korean green chili peppers (Ggwari peppers)
Seasoning & Others- 2 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 Tbsp olive oil

- 1 Tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 2 Tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, make cross-shaped scores on the Vienna sausages. Then, blanch them in boiling water. This step helps to remove any gamey odor from sausages that may have been stored in the freezer and also cleanses any impurities, ensuring a clean taste. While the sausages are blanching, prepare the leftover vegetables from your refrigerator. Feel free to use bell peppers, onions, Korean green chili peppers, or any other vegetables you have on hand. Chop the vegetables into bite-sized pieces; avoid making them too small.
Step 2
Drain the blanched sausages and pat them dry with a paper towel. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat and stir-fry the sausages lightly. Once the sausages start to turn golden brown, add the prepared vegetables and stir-fry them together.
Step 3
When the vegetables begin to soften slightly, add 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce and stir-fry everything quickly until well combined. The oyster sauce adds a wonderful savory depth of flavor.
Step 4
Your delicious sausage and vegetable stir-fry is almost ready! Using sausages from the freezer and leftover bell peppers, onions, and Korean green chili peppers has resulted in a fantastic dish. Arrange the finished stir-fry attractively on a serving plate. Finally, sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds and drizzle with 1 tablespoon of sesame oil for added nutty aroma and flavor.
Step 5
This finished stir-fry is perfect as a hearty side dish with warm rice, or it makes an excellent accompaniment to a cold beer or makgeolli. The spicy Korean green chili peppers cut through any richness, making it even more appealing.
Step 6
This is such a delicious side dish that the plate will be emptied in no time, so be sure to try making it! Everyone, young and old, loves this flavor, so it will surely enrich your family’s meals.
Step 7
Lately, I’ve been trying to clear out my refrigerator, but the next day, it’s always refilled with fresh vegetables harvested from the garden. Because of this, my fridge is always full, but I find it rewarding to occasionally create special dishes using the ingredients I already have, just like this one.
Step 8
The weather has suddenly become very hot, and I’ve been getting headaches. I’m already worried about how I’ll manage through July and August at this rate. When it’s hot, I lose my appetite and energy, and feel like doing nothing. This is when simple-to-make recipes like this become incredibly useful.
