Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the spring cabbage. First, trim off the tough, hard base of the spring cabbage with a knife for easy separation.
Step 2
Wash the spring cabbage leaves thoroughly under running water. Then, cut them into bite-sized pieces. Cutting them into about 3-4cm lengths is ideal for easy eating. Drain the leaves well after washing.
Step 3
For today’s recipe, we’re preparing about 200g of spring cabbage, which is suitable for two servings as a side dish. Please select fresh, crisp spring cabbage for the best flavor.
Step 4
Now, let’s make the magical golden ratio dressing! In a bowl, combine 1 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 Tbsp gochugaru, 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar, 2 Tbsp sugar, 1 Tbsp toasted sesame oil, 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds, and finally, 1 Tbsp water.
Step 5
Mix all the dressing ingredients together until well combined. Your delicious dressing is now ready! You can achieve this amazing flavor without any complicated techniques.
Step 6
Pour the prepared dressing over the spring cabbage. Gently toss and mix the leaves with your hands until evenly coated. Be careful not to mix too vigorously, as this can make the cabbage taste raw. A gentle coating is key.
Step 7
Voila! Your crisp, sweet, and tangy spring cabbage salad is complete. Serve it attractively in a bowl, and it will be a stunning side dish that shines even next to elaborate meals. This salad alone is enough to make you devour a bowl of rice!
