  • 1 paper cup (approx. 180g) sugar
  • 1 coffee spoon (approx. 2.5g) cinnamon powder

Apples can brown quickly once peeled, so swift action is key. Core the apple, then peel and cut it into 4 pieces. Place the prepared apple pieces into a blender.

If you prefer some texture in your jam, set aside about 1/4 of the apple, do not blend it, and finely chop it into small pieces. If you prefer a smooth, purée-like consistency or wish to skip this step, feel free to omit it entirely.

Combine the puréed apple from the blender and the chopped apple (optional step) in a saucepan. Add 1 paper cup of sugar. Cover with a lid and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. The sugar will start to dissolve as the apples release their juices.

After 10 minutes, remove the lid and stir well with a spatula or spoon to prevent sticking to the bottom. Continue to cook and reduce for another 10 minutes (the consistency will be similar to the second picture). Finally, stir in 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder and simmer for an additional 5 minutes until the jam thickens to your desired consistency (refer to the fourth picture).
