Fluffy Microwave Steamed Egg
(Middle Schooler’s Cooking!) Fluffy Steamed Egg ♥
Making dinner with steamed eggs because the siblings love eggs! Tonight, it’s dinner that these two will handle themselves. ♥
Ingredients- 3-4 Eggs (2 if using jumbo eggs)
- 90ml Water
- Scallions or Green Onions, to taste
- Carrots, to taste
Seasoning- 2 pinches Salt
- 2 pinches Salt
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the eggs. Crack 3-4 eggs into a bowl, or use two 150ml measuring cups and divide them between the two. Aim for a total egg weight of around 140g.
Step 2
Add water to the eggs. In this recipe, for the kids, one person added 50ml and the other added 40ml of water. The amount of water affects how soft the steamed egg will be. You’ll notice the egg mixture becomes lighter in color as you add the water.
Step 3
It’s time to prepare the vegetables. Finely chop the green onions (or scallions) and mince the carrots. If the children don’t like them, you can omit them or mince them very finely.
Step 4
Now, let’s season it. Add two pinches of salt. In this recipe, we added one pinch per egg. Please adjust the amount of salt according to your preference.
Step 5
You can mix the prepared carrots and green onions into the egg mixture, or arrange them on top of the steamed egg as a garnish for decoration. Note that carrots are a bit heavy, so they might sink to the bottom if placed on top.
Step 6
Now, microwave it for about 5 minutes, and you’ll have wonderfully soft and moist steamed egg! It’s even more delicious when enjoyed warm. Have a fun cooking session with the children!
