Main Ingredients- 5 eggs
- 10 slices of thinly sliced smoked duck
- 1 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp honey mustard
- 1/2 cucumber
- 6 slices of bread
- Strawberry jam, to taste
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Place 5 eggs in a pot and cover them with water. Add 1 tablespoon of vinegar to the water; this helps make the shells easier to peel. Boil over high heat for 25 minutes. Once boiled, quickly rinse them under cold water and carefully peel the shells. (Tip: For younger children, an adult can assist with peeling the eggs to ensure a safer and more pleasant cooking experience.)
Step 2
Mash the boiled eggs using a fork or a masher until they are smooth and creamy. In a bowl, combine the mashed eggs with 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise and 1 tablespoon of honey mustard. Mix well. Prepare the cucumber by removing the seeds and finely dicing it, then add it to the egg mixture and blend thoroughly. If your children are picky eaters, you can finely mince the cucumber or omit it altogether.
Step 3
Lightly blanch the smoked duck slices in boiling water. Now it’s time to assemble the sandwiches! Spread a thin layer of strawberry jam on one side of a bread slice. Generously top with the prepared egg salad. Arrange the blanched smoked duck slices neatly over the egg salad. Finally, cover with another slice of bread to complete your delicious egg sandwich. Cut in half and serve to your little ones!
