Crab Stick Egg Roll: A Delicious Side Dish for Home
An egg roll packed with crab sticks! It’s delicious and makes a great side dish for home meals!
Ingredients- 3 crab sticks
- 3 eggs
- A pinch of salt
- 2 Tbsp cooking oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Separate the yolks and whites of 2 eggs. Put the remaining 1 egg whole into the yolk bowl. This separation helps create a fluffier texture and a prettier color.
Step 2
In the bowl with the yolks, add the remaining 1 egg. Sprinkle in a pinch of salt. Whisk gently with chopsticks or a whisk until the yolks and whites are well combined. Avoid over-whisking to maintain a tender texture.
Step 3
In the separate bowl with just the egg whites, add the 3 crab sticks. Shred them finely with your hands. Adding crab sticks significantly enhances the flavor. Gently mix the shredded crab sticks with the egg whites.
Step 4
Heat 1 Tbsp of cooking oil in a non-stick pan over medium-low heat. Pour in the egg white and crab stick mixture. Once it starts to set, quickly roll it up like a sushi roll. Once rolled, set the white-only egg roll aside on a plate. Cooking this part separately helps keep the colors distinct and beautiful.
Step 5
Add the remaining 1 Tbsp of cooking oil to the same pan. Pour in the yolk egg mixture. As the yolk mixture begins to cook, place the reserved white-only egg roll in the center. Carefully roll the yolk mixture over it, encasing the white roll. Continue to roll gently until the entire roll is golden brown, cooking over low heat.
Step 6
Let the completed crab stick and egg roll cool slightly, then slice it into bite-sized pieces. The tender texture combined with the savory crab sticks is absolutely delicious! Enjoy it with warm rice or as a snack.
