Ingredients
  • 6 medium to large potatoes

Seasoning & Boiling
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 500ml water

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, peel the potatoes and wash them thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or debris.

Place the prepared potatoes into a pot and add cold water. Ensure the water covers the potatoes generously.

Add 2 tablespoons of sugar to the pot. This will give the potatoes a subtle sweetness.

Also add 1 teaspoon of salt to enhance the overall flavor.

Bring the water to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes.

After about 15 minutes, check if the potatoes are cooked by piercing them with a chopstick or skewer. If it goes in easily, they are done. If it feels slightly resistant, continue boiling for another 5 minutes.
