Perfect for when you’re not feeling hungry! Introducing a delightful combination of tender, thinly sliced pork belly and crisp chives. Main Ingredients- 1 bunch fresh chives (approx. 200g)
- 300g thinly sliced pork belly
- 1/4 onion
- 1 Tbsp cooking oil
- 2 pinches salt
- A pinch of black pepper
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, thoroughly wash the fresh chives under running water. Once drained, cut them into approximately 5cm lengths, making them easy to eat. This cutting method ensures the dressing coats evenly and is convenient for consumption.

Peel the 1/4 onion and slice it thinly into strips. Slicing it thinly will reduce its pungency and improve the texture.

Place the sliced onions in cold water and let them soak for about 5 minutes. This step removes the sharp, pungent flavor of the onion, making it much milder and more palatable.

Heat a pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil. Add the thinly sliced pork belly and stir-fry. Season with 2 pinches of salt and a pinch of black pepper as you cook to enhance the flavor.

Once the pork belly is golden brown and nicely cooked, gently wipe away any excess oil from the pan using paper towels. Removing excess oil results in a cleaner, less greasy dish.

In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1/2 tablespoon of minced garlic, 1/2 tablespoon of whole grain mustard, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of vinegar, and 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. Mix everything thoroughly. The whole grain mustard adds a unique and special flavor.
