Flavorful! Air Fryer Honey Garlic Pork Ribs
Restaurant-Quality Taste at Home! Honey Garlic Ribs Made with an Air Fryer
With an air fryer, cooking meat has never been easier. Create restaurant-style pork ribs with a simple sauce of honey and garlic. This recipe is perfect for a quick and impressive meal.
Main Ingredients- Pork spare ribs 500g
- 1/2 Onion
- 1/2 Broccoli
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, make 2-3 deep cuts into the meaty side of the pork ribs with a knife. This helps the marinade penetrate better and ensures even cooking.
Step 2
Be careful when making the cuts, as knives can vary in sharpness. If your ribs are already pre-cut, you can skip this step.
Step 3
Soak the pork ribs in cold water for about 30 minutes to 1 hour to remove any blood. Changing the water once or twice will help even more. Removing the blood is key to a clean-tasting rib dish.
Step 4
In a bowl, combine 2 Tbsp minced garlic, 1 Tbsp honey, 1 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 Tbsp cooking wine, 1 Tbsp clear rice wine, and a pinch of pepper. Mix well to create a delicious honey-garlic sauce. (Using honey instead of sugar adds a smoother, richer flavor.)
Step 5
Pat the drained ribs dry with a paper towel. Then, add 1 Tbsp each of cooking wine and clear rice wine and gently massage them into the ribs; this helps remove any gamey odor. Next, sprinkle generously with herb salt. Pour the prepared honey-garlic sauce over the ribs and mix well with your hands to ensure they are fully coated. Let them marinate for about 10 minutes.
Step 6
Line your air fryer basket with parchment paper and arrange the marinated ribs with the meaty side facing up. Lightly spray the ribs with olive oil for a crispier, shinier finish. Place them in a preheated air fryer at 190°C (375°F) and cook for 15 minutes.
Step 7
After 15 minutes, carefully remove the ribs and flip them over. Cut the onion into large chunks and the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Arrange the prepared vegetables around the ribs in the air fryer basket. Continue to cook at 190°C (375°F) for another 6-7 minutes. The vegetables will become tender and absorb some of the delicious rib flavor.
Step 8
Here’s a look at the beautifully cooked honey garlic ribs. They should be golden brown on the outside and wonderfully juicy inside – a truly appetizing sight!
Step 9
Serve the ribs on a plate alongside warm oat rice balls (seasoned with sesame oil and salt, if desired). Complement the dish with pickles or pickled vegetables for a refreshing contrast. Enjoy this hearty and delicious pork rib dish with your whole family!
