Elegant Homemade Cream Pasta
Crafting a Colorful Cream Pasta with a Variety of Vegetables
Woke up this morning craving a rich and creamy pasta dish! When I suggested it to my child, they initially thought it might be a bit much for breakfast, but after I offered ramen as an alternative, they eagerly chose pasta. Although I didn’t have any shrimp on hand, I decided to make a vibrant cream pasta using the fresh ingredients I had. This recipe brings a touch of elegance to your home, perfect for any occasion.
Key Ingredients- Fresh Pasta (1 serving)
- Pre-made Cream Sauce (1 serving)
- Mini Bell Peppers (various colors)
- Cheongyang Chili Pepper (to taste)
- Peperoncino (to taste)
- Broccoli
- Bacon
- Salt (for seasoning adjustment)
- Parsley Flakes (for garnish)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
For this recipe, we’re using fresh pasta that doesn’t require pre-soaking. It’s conveniently portioned for single servings, allowing for quick preparation without boiling the pasta separately. (If using regular dried pasta, please cook it according to the package instructions.)
Step 2
The cream sauce used already contains salt for seasoning. Therefore, adjust any additional salt only after tasting the dish at the end. It’s important to check the inherent saltiness of the sauce.
Step 3
Finely chop the mini bell peppers after removing the seeds to add vibrant color. If you desire a spicy kick, mince the Cheongyang chili pepper and peperoncino very finely. (Caution: Combining both Cheongyang chili pepper and peperoncino can make the dish quite spicy, so consider using only one or adjusting the quantity. I intended for a hint of spice, but it turned out quite fiery!)
Step 4
Slice the bacon into bite-sized pieces for added flavor. Feel free to include other ingredients like mushrooms or shrimp if you have them on hand, but this dish is delicious even with just the basics. (Don’t hesitate to omit ingredients you don’t have!)
Step 5
Combine the prepared fresh pasta and cream sauce in a pan over medium-low heat. Gently cook, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is well coated and the sauce is harmonious. The fresh pasta will soften as it simmers in the sauce.
Step 6
Avoid over-reducing the cream sauce until it becomes too thick, as this can make the pasta dry when served. It’s best to maintain a slightly saucy consistency for a moist and enjoyable pasta dish.
Step 7
Serve the finished cream pasta on an attractive plate. Sprinkle generously with parsley flakes for an appealing finish. Adding blanched broccoli florets as a side enhances both the visual appeal and the overall texture of the dish.
