Elegant Christmas Wreath Salmon Salad
Perfect for Home Parties! A Visually Stunning Christmas Wreath Salmon Salad Recipe
I’m sharing the recipe for the ‘Christmas Wreath Salmon Salad’ that I specially prepared for a warm home party with my neighbors. Although I aimed for a refined presentation to please those who prefer traditional flavors, I amusingly forgot to add all the decorative elements I had prepared, like boiled eggs, pomegranate seeds, and cheese, to the wreath salad! However, by generously using salmon, the salad was delicious on its own. The combination of fresh salmon and crisp vegetables will create a captivating dish for your year-end gatherings or home parties.
Salad Ingredients- 200g fresh salmon, thinly sliced
- 100g sprouts, fresh
- 5 cherry tomatoes, halved
- A small amount of broccoli, cut into florets
- A small amount of canned corn, drained
- 0.5 Tbsp vinegar (for marinating sprouts)
Dressing Sauce- Horseradish sauce, to taste
- Horseradish sauce, to taste
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Carefully remove any bones and skin from the fresh salmon, then slice it thinly. Slicing it thinly will enhance the tender texture and rich flavor of the salmon.
Step 2
Gently roll each salmon slice into a flower-like shape. This decorative touch will make your salad look more elaborate and appetizing. Lightly rinse the sprouts under running water, then thoroughly pat them dry with paper towels to maintain their freshness.
Step 3
Set aside the rolled salmon flowers for a moment. In a small bowl, combine the dried sprouts with 0.5 Tbsp of vinegar and toss gently. Adding vinegar will help keep the sprouts crisp and add a refreshing zest. After tossing, drain any excess liquid again.
Step 4
Now, it’s time to artfully arrange the prepared ingredients on your serving plate. Start by generously spreading the lightly vinegared sprouts across the base of the plate. Next, artfully place the halved cherry tomatoes, and then tuck in the salmon flowers you’ve made. Finally, add the canned corn for a burst of sweetness and the broccoli florets for color and texture.
Step 5
Oops! I forgot to add the boiled eggs, pomegranate seeds, and cheese that I had initially prepared as garnishes. But don’t worry! By using a generous amount of salmon, the salad is already delicious and substantial on its own. Enjoy the natural flavors of the ingredients.
Step 6
Arranging all the ingredients in a wreath formation creates a stunning salmon salad that is as beautiful as it is delicious. Make your home parties even more special and memorable with this festive salmon wreath salad, perfect for Christmas and other special occasions. You can easily enjoy this elegant and flavorful salad at home.
